John Botting, CD
BOTTING
Michael John. Mike shut the game down on March 27, 2004
peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 2,
1942 in Kingston, Ontario. Mike is survived by his adoring and devoted wife
Lilly, daughters, Paula Jacques-Jones (Ken Jones, granddaughter Valerie), Anna
Jacques of Ottawa, Ontario (granddaughter Lisa), and cherished forever by his
adopted family daughter, Anna Campbell (Lainey Carmichael, grandchildren,
Jonathan and Beverly), son, Bernie Lambert, (Jennifer and Liam). Mike spent
his childhood in Hamilton, Ontario before joining the RCAF. He served 20 years
and retired as a Fire Chief. he enjoyed this short retirement fishing for many
hours on his boat. He was an instructor at the Canadian Forces Fleet School
Damage Control Section in Colwood and was then employed at Victoria General
Royal Jubilee Hospital as a Fire/Security officer for 16 years. Mike
loved to play computer games, fish, play darts and joined many dart teams over
the years for the local Legion and various pubs. Mike will always be
remembered for his love of bluegrass music, big smile, kind heart, big bear
hugs and his love of chatting with friends over a beer at the Legion. To sum
it up in Pop's own words: "Mike's gone, Pathfinder for sale!"
