FR Francia J. 'Frank' Boudreau  

BOUDREAU, J. Francis "Frank" - 75, Halifax, passed away June 1, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Louisdale, Cape Breton, he was a son of Margaret and Jimmy Boudreau. Frank started his career as a firefighter with the Bedford Fire Department and then with the DND at CFS, Mill Cove, for 21 years. His hobbies included gardening, nature, pets, playing guitar and painting with his brother Louis; woodworking with his brother Ed, and helping others. All of his family were his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife, Cathryn Boudreau; children, Kathy (Gerry), Michael (Dayle), Lisa (Scott), Lower Sackville; Karen (Peter), Dartmouth; stepdaughters, Andrea Jean, Halifax; Chrissy (Eric) Dartmouth; sister, Edna (Art), Cape Breton; brothers, Edgar (Claire), Halifax; Louis (Olive), Waverley; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife, Patricia; mother, Margaret; father, James; brothers, George and Jimmy; stepson, Peter. No visitation or flowers by request. Funeral service will be held in St. Lawrence Parish, Dutch Village Road, Halifax, at 2 p.m. June 5 with Father Bernie O'Neill officiating. Cremation has taken place. Burial at a later date in Oakridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Ostomy Association, Victorian Order of Nurses, Canadian Red Cross or The Lung Association. On-line condolences may be made at:
