LANGILLE, Clarence Edward - 82, formerly of Bible Hill, passed away peacefully April 29, 2004, in The Mira Nursing Home, Truro. Born in Hammonds Plains, he was a son of the late Ernest and Sarah (McQuaide) Langille. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served with the North Nova Highlanders in Holland, France, Belgium and Germany. He was a retired employee of the Department of National Defense (D.N.D. Fire Service) with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 43, Eastern Star and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 26. He is survived by his wife, Freda (Manley); children, Annette (Gerald) MacIntosh, Mavis Gordon (Jack), Gareth (Olga); Scott (Louise), all of Truro; grandchildren, Tanya (Tracey) MacKenzie, Heather MacIntosh, Patricia (Derek) Roberts, Stephen Gordon (Young-ah), Janet (Rick) Caravona, Kevin, Jeffery, Cindy and David Langille, Drew and Erica Langille; great-grandchildren, Kristina, Kyle, Caitlin, Jacob, Davin; sisters, Nina Reid, Moncton, N.B.; Ellen Heffler, Lower Sackville; Bertha Kehoe, Florida. He was predeceased by son, Clarence Jr. in infancy; brothers, Alven, Percy, David, Alex, Russell, Granville "Guy", Stewart in infancy; sisters, Annie Smith, Regina Bishop, Edith in infancy. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday with a Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 26, tribute service at 7 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday in St. George's Anglican Church, Bible Hill, Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating. Interment in Crossroad's Cemetery, Valley. Family flowers only.
