LANGILLE, Clarence Edward
LANGILLE, Clarence Edward - 82, formerly of Bible Hill, passed away peacefully
April 29, 2004, in The Mira Nursing Home, Truro. Born in Hammonds Plains, he was
a son of the late Ernest and Sarah (McQuaide) Langille. He was a veteran of the
Second World War and served with the North Nova Highlanders in Holland, France,
Belgium and Germany. He was a retired employee of the Department of National
Defense (D.N.D. Fire Service) with 30 years of service. He was a member of the
Masonic Lodge No. 43, Eastern Star and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 26. He
is survived by his wife, Freda (Manley); children, Annette (Gerald) MacIntosh,
Mavis Gordon (Jack), Gareth (Olga); Scott (Louise), all of Truro; grandchildren,
Tanya (Tracey) MacKenzie, Heather MacIntosh, Patricia (Derek) Roberts, Stephen
Gordon (Young-ah), Janet (Rick) Caravona, Kevin, Jeffery, Cindy and David
Langille, Drew and Erica Langille; great-grandchildren, Kristina, Kyle, Caitlin,
Jacob, Davin; sisters, Nina Reid, Moncton, N.B.; Ellen Heffler, Lower Sackville;
Bertha Kehoe, Florida. He was predeceased by son, Clarence Jr. in infancy;
brothers, Alven, Percy, David, Alex, Russell, Granville "Guy", Stewart
in infancy; sisters, Annie Smith, Regina Bishop, Edith in infancy. Visitation
will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday with a Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 26,
tribute service at 7 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday in St. George's Anglican Church, Bible
Hill, Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating. Interment in Crossroad's Cemetery,
Valley. Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made to the
Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or
