Mission Statement
The primary mission of FireHouse651.COM is to provide a common
place on the internet for serving and retired Canadian Military
and DND FR Firefighters to register their contact information.
Our aim is to provide a service that will enable our members to
reunite with their old friends and for them to establish new
friendships. FireHouse651.COM is also dedicated to:
a. Collecting and publishing the historical material of The
Canadian Military Fire Service;
b. Providing a Memorial for our deceased fire service members;
c. Providing information on fire service matters and topics of
general interest;
d. Providing FREE Internet E-mail services and other features to
our members;
e. Providing support to organized functions and reunions
pertinent to our fire service;
f. Providing support for the Corp Of Canadian Firefighters
Overseas during WW II.
History
The FireHouse651.COM web site was born out of a conversation Joe
Walker and Paul Landry had in
February 1999. They thought it
would be nice to have a site dedicated to their fellow Firefighters from
the MOC 651 and Department Of National Defense FR Group. The
site was launched on 05 April 1999 and has grown steadily since.
Allan
Rau and Don Teed joined the Website as Directors in 2002. We
reserve the right to deny or revoke membership for due cause.
We have helped many Firefighters reunite with old friends
and associates.

Services
Membership in FireHouse651.COM is at no cost. We do accept
donations from any member who wishes to donate to help defray costs. We also receive
some revenue from sponsored banners. Our goal is to be online
for our members for the long haul.
Membership
Regular Members:
Any person who is:
a. a member of the Canadian Forces Fire
Service serving or retired,
b. a member of the DND FR Civilian Group serving or retired,
c. immediate family or spouses of CF or DND FR Firefighter.
Any person (non-fire fighter) who is or was employed by the Fire
Service or has or is rendering honourable service on behalf of
Firefighters will be considered. Immediate family will be
considered on recommendation of the member. Spouses of deceased
Firefighters are very welcome.
Honorary Members: Names may be
submitted to the Directors by regular members, of any
person for consideration for Honorary Membership. Approval will
be by vote conducted by FireHouse651.COM directors after a
review of the submission.
Associate Members: For any person
who is from another fire service or any other profession or
organization who have demonstrated an interest in and support
for our membership and mission. Associate Memberships will be
determined by the FireHouse651.COM Directors.
Rules
Rule # 1: The FireHouse651.COM Web Site is a rank free zone. The
only place where rank shall be used will be on the Fire Fighter
Memorial, Anecdotes, or when the directors deem appropriate.
Rule # 2: Discussion pertaining to
military policy, operations, personnel, conditions of service or
any other subject matter of this nature shall be entered upon
with care. Members shall give careful consideration to the
content of their posts, in regard to what subject matter their
own organization will permit them to put on a public forum. All
postings of this nature are the responsibility of the author and
not FireHouse651.COM. Any questionable posts shall be deleted.
Rule #3: All forum posts shall be
courteous and respectful towards other members or any other
person being referred to. Form posts that do not meet this
standard will be deleted. Messages containing written or graphic
sexual content, or offends any person or group in regard to
race, sexual orientation, color, creed or ethnic origin will be
deleted. Please use common sense when posting any materials as
this forum is open to all family members.
