FR Clyde Joseph Nicholson
KENTVILLE - Clyde Joseph Nicholson, 61, of 68 Nichols Avenue, Kentville, died Saturday in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Bertram and Elizabeth (Power) Nicholson. He was employed by HMCS Dockyard as a Fire Fighter for 30 years. He served overseas with the Canadian Army during the Second World War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, King's branch #6, and Ken-Wo Golf Club. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville. He is survived by his wife, the former Adele Noah, Yarmouth; a son Geoffrey, Kentville; a daughter Nancy (Mrs. Gregory Pilon), Faro, Yukon; a brother Clarence, Halifax, and one granddaughter. He was predeceased by Six brothers John, Cecil, Charles, James, Gerald, and Gordon. The body is in H.C. Lindsay's Memorial Chapel, Kentville. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Rev Benny d'Entremomt officiating, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville NS.
