FR Donald Roy Wilson

WILSON, Donald Roy - 80, Digby, Nova Scotia passed away, February 28, 2005. A long-time resident of Digby, Don was a son of the late Freeman and Ann WILSON. He served overseas with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in the Second World War in 1942-45. After the war, Don returned to the family business. In 1957, he joined H.M.C.S. Cornwallis Fire Department and was employed there as a firefighter until his retirement in 1981. Don also belonged to the Digby Legion, Branch 20. Upon his retirement he continued to work in the family businesses, Fundy Motors and The Scallop Bowl Ltd. He loved sports, was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Majorie DALEY; his children, Michael, Donna and Randy, and his younger brother, Ken. He was predeceased by his brother, Ted.
