Valmore Thibodeau (1923 - 2009) St. Louis de Kent, NB - Valmore Thibodeau 86 of St. Louis de Kent passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Saturday, January 10th, 2009. Born in St. Norbert, NB he was the son of the late Jean-Baptiste and Annie (Girouard) Thibodeau of St. Norbert. A war veteran, he served in WW II as a dispatcher over seas. After the war he was self-employed and later became a firefighter for D.N.D. in Moncton and St. Margarets, NB. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30 in Richibucto. He loved playing crib. Valmore will be deeply missed by his wife of 65 years Imelda (Gallant) Thibodeau, two daughters; Francine Bernard (Jean-Pierre) of Charlo, Leonie Vautour (Arthur) of St. Louis, five sons; Léonard of Winnipeg, Désiré (Patricia) of St. Louis, Francois of Aldouane, René (caregiver) of St. Louis, Edouard (Wendy) of Rexton, one sister; Marguerite Richard (late Dereré) of Moncton, five brothers; Euclide (Late Mary-Jo) of Welland, ON, Fernand of London, ON, Raymond (Fabiola) of Bouctouche Bay, Rev. Alban of Moncton, Zoel of Moncton, 14 grand children; Renée LeBlanc (Marc), Josée Mortin (Patrick), Denis Bernard, Ricky Thibodeau (Kayla), Carole Vautour (Robert), Rachelle Thibodeau (Arthur), Julien Thibodeau, Marcelle Thibodeau, Christopher Thibodeau, Celina and Babha Thibodeau, Emelie Thibodeau, Mathieu Vautour, Annie Bourgeois (André), and seven great grand children; Shawn, Angie, Lucas, Makala, Olivier, Julien, and Alexia. Predeceased by five sisters; Dorina, Françine, Alfreda, Alberta, Odette and one brother; Oscar. Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Tuesday at noon until departure for funeral. A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent on Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Internment will be in the spring.
